Q: What can I expect to see at the 2011 World Flower Show?

A: This floral expo will feature 600 flower arrangements, 12 lectures by acclaimed speakers, dozens of national and international exhibitions, design demonstrations, a gala banquet, opening and closing celebrations, an awards ceremony, and more. Making its first appearance in the US, this tri-annual event has been previously hosted by Pakistan, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, France, Belgium, Canada and twice by the United Kingdom.

Q: Are lectures and demonstrations included in any ticket purchase/package?

Q: What is the refund policy?

A: The refund policy states that all Ticket Sales and Registrations are FINAL. We cannot accommodate requests for refunds or changes. No exceptions. Should your plans change, you are welcome to give your ticket(s) to someone else to attend.

Q: How do I rent a wheelchair/motorized scooter for this event?

A: Wheelchairs/motorized scooters can be rented from Belmont Medical Supply. The rentals for standard wheelchairs is $60 for the wheelchair and $25 for pickup and delivery. The rentals for scooters or motorized wheelchairs is $150 for the scooter/wheelchair and $50 for pick up and delivery.

Q: How do I retrieve my tickets for the event?
A: It is very important that you print your tickets prior to arriving in Boston, as tickets will not be available for pick up on-site. Once you have purchased your ticket, shortly after you will receive a confirmation email. Subject line reads "Order Invoice" from "WAFA - The World Association of Flower Arrangers [wafasupport@mediawhere.com]". Please verify that your products are correct and proceed to the bold header "Ticket Delivery Type". Please click the first link below to access your tickets. The tickets are uploaded in a PDF format. Please save and print your tickets. Each ticket is assigned an individual barcode
Q: I faxed my registration and ticket form but have not received a confirmation or ticket. What should I do?
A: If you faxed your information and have not yet received your confirmation - please contact WAFA Registration at 888-735-1937 and press 1 for assistance. Please have the following information ready; the full name of the registrant and the email address provided.
Q: Why is this show being billed as a “once-in-a-generation” event?
A: This show takes place in a different country only once every three years. This is the first time in 30 years that the United States been chosen as host, an honor that may not repeat for a quarter century.

Q: What is This Glorious Earth?
A: This Glorious Earth is the theme for the 2011 World Flower Show.
Q: What is WAFA USA?
A: In 2006, members of two national garden club organizations, The Garden Club of America and the National Garden Clubs, Inc., agreed to collaborate as the nonprofit entity, WAFA USA, in order to host the next World Flower Show in the United States. The groups’ combined membership totals more than 225,000.
Q: Who chose the United States as the host country for the 10th World Flower Show in 2011?
A: The World Association of Flower Arrangers (WAFA) is the entity responsible for selecting the host city for the World Flower Show. WAFA is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization of floral art societies representing 30 member countries. WAFA was founded in 1981 and moves from country to country every three years. Q: What does the host country do?
A: During its tenure, the host country organizes an International Seminar, stages a World Flower Show, convenes a General Assembly, and plans various other educational events. Each host has also published a book showcasing the floral artistry of their country. Previous WAFA host countries include Pakistan, Japan, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada, France, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
